I just recently discovered that HealthForceOntario pays for my subscriptions to these evidence-based services!!! The Allied Health Professional Development Fund (AHPDF) is sponsoring eligible health care providers with:
DynaMed Plus is like a point-form version of Up-To-Date. This is a good alternative to Up-To-Date considering your subscription is paid for you. Most of you probably recognize the AHPDF for funding practicing members of nine allied health professions as much as $1,500 per year for professional development courses and programs. AHPDF has decided to further support professional development. The Allied Health Professional Development Fund has invested in a multi-year subscription to an Electronic Health Library (EHL) hosted by EBSCO. This library gives practicing members of the allied health professions access to the most recent health care literature to help determine the best approach to evidence-based practice. How Do I Get Access? You must sign up for a user account to access the Electronic Health Library. Registration information will be validated with your regulatory college prior to granting access. Please note that only eligible allied health professionals registered to practice in Ontario are able to access the Electronic Health Library. Once you've registered, return to the website above and you can use your login to access MEDLINE and DynaMed Plus. You can also download the DynaMed Plus app for your smartphone. |
