Your 2017 Wishlist For Pharmacy Is Now Posted

In a previous blog post, I asked everyone to anonymously submit their wishlist for the profession for 2017. I am pleased to share some with you today. I will update this post as I receive more. You can send your own wishlist anonymously through the link below or click "Share Your Story" above:

I asked for some serious and some non-serious wishlist items, and I've scrambled them for your enjoyment. Let's get to it:

1. Discontinue clarithromycin, there's so many drug-drug interactions and there's growing resistance to it too
   
2. NO MORE DRUG SHORTAGES. %$#@!! EVERY WEEK I TELL YOU!!!
   
3. An EPR (electronic patient record) that is communicable across all hospitals
   
4. Minor ailments prescribing with compensation
   
5. Just one uninterrupted lunch
   
6. Longer and more comprehensive meds check form that requires even more documentation with little to no benefit for the patient....with more redundancies in the form too.
   
7. Larger presence in specialty outpatient clinics (mental health, oncology, etc)
   
8. I hope no one injects travel vaccines for free...
   
9. Getting renal function data (and other lab data)
   
10. When doctors/NPs discontinue meds, could they please fax the pharmacist? So we don't wonder a month later when they don't fill their meds "Oh what happened to your ____?" ​
